Yesterday lesson is mainly on rest. He taught us how to read the rest notations and incorporated that into a combi. He says this is the most common type of combi for pop songs.

The top row is the hi-hat, middle is the snare and the last is the bass drum. Its quite a hard combi... always get stuck at the 3rd beat... tend to wanna hit the base on the count of 3 rather than the "n"... almost liak gong inside the class... but slowly did catch a bit but really need to concentrate hard... else will just gabra....
He also ask us how to do a make shift drumset at home... i suggested using chairs with back for easier practice of snare and hi-hat.... he said was okie and taught us how to do some make-shift pedal also... before he finds time to bring us to a 2nd hand store to invest in a cheap pedal just for practice.. but i doubt i could make it.. cos my dad will nvr allow me to do tat to his screwdrivers... besides with my kind neighbour downstairs they are sure to compliment my nice drum combi.... so i guess i just have to make do with silent stepping and own vocal to replace the bass drum....
or maybe someone is kind enough to give me a set of electronic drums for my bday cum xmas present?? anybody??
