７月２０日 ~ 懷寧飯店 to 士林夜市

辦理好所有的手續，
我們再一次出發想去「女巫」那兒和其他的「麻飛兒」會合，
吃晚餐，也看「旺福」的表演．
怎麼知道，我們才撘了一個站，
就接到電話說不能在那兒用餐，
而且不能幫忙排隊．
所以我只好痛下決心，決定不去了．
去填飽肚子比較重要．

所以我就提議我們３人到士林夜市去．
怎麼知道糊裡糊塗的我，居然記錯了下車的站．
應該在「劍潭」站，我們卻到了「士林」．
不過還好，我們還沒出捷運，就撘下一輛列車回到「劍潭」．
當然我被他們倆個數落．
因為一來一回，我們就多撘了２Ｘ２個站．
我當然是不管他們，只是奮勇直追到「士林夜市」．

一到了那，CM 就去吃了他相當喜愛的「雞排」．

看他高興的樣子，真的是餓壞了．
而BL 去買了我最最怕的「臭豆腐」．
不過，我還是嚐了一小口，
最後結論是，我不會再吃「臭豆腐」，
因為真的太臭了．

結果我們繞了一會，
我就帶他們去吃我最愛的「棺材板」

不知怎麼的，這次吃的「棺材板」感覺沒有上一次的好吃．
BL 和 CM 都覺得羊肉的非常好吃．
可是我不吃羊肉啦．所以．．．
之後我們又嘗試了他們的耗仔煎．
味道怪怪的，還是新加坡的好吃．

吃飽飯足後，我們就往夜市那走．
沒走多久就看到賣水果的小攤位，
當然我們沒放過，賣了芒果來吃．
超甜的．可惜後來沒有機會再去買來吃．

走了沒多久我們就看到了「愛的小手」．
因為看了「小氣大財神」，所以我們想買很久了．
又走了沒一條街，我就看到那間「油飯和蟹羹」的店．
雖然還滿飽的，可是我不能放棄那麼可口的蟹羹．
所以又進去吃了一輪，可惜，這次沒有吃到油飯．

因為我和ＢＬ都喜歡「小熊維尼」，
每次出國都會收刮一些小熊維尼的商品，
所以在士林只要是玩具店我們都不會放過的啦．

走到累了，我們就決定去吃冰．
明明對面那間冰店比較少人，
我們還是決定排隊去吃那間比較多人的．
不過，終究沒有白排，因為那個冰真的太好吃了！


為了省錢，我們叫了一個新鮮芒果冰，一個是水蜜桃的．
真的一分錢一分貨．那個芒果的真的是好吃到～
到最後，我們還把水蜜桃的倒進芒果的碗里去吸收那個味道．
而且那個雪花冰，一放入嘴里就溶化了！太好吃了！

原本我們還想撘捷運回酒店，
怎麼知道居然錯過了末班車．
只好撘計程車．
因為我們住的是小旅店，司機不會去，
不過他很好心的用他們的對講機問其他司機．
因為他用台語和其他司機溝通，
而ＣＭ也用台語和他對談，所以他很快的猜到我們是新加坡人．
好像也是他介紹我們去吃粥的，那個粥我就下次再講吧．

就這樣，我們在台北的第一天離奇般的度過了．

７月２０日 ~ 中正機場 to 懷寧飯店

上一回說到我們去搭「國光客運」,
結果因為人太多，所以我們都分開坐．
整個旅程一切還算順利，並沒有什麼交通住塞．
也發現同車里有幾位從新加坡來的男生，
是因為他們用 singlish 交談所以認出來的．

到了台北車站，我們一行人下了車．
我和 CM 去領行李．
不見行李的 BL 就站在一旁等我們．
領到行李後，我們就走過去找 BL，
怎麼知道，她和我們說她好像看到她的行李了！！

我問她知不知道那個人是不是新加坡來的，
她說是，因為在車上就聽到他們的對話．
也就是和我早前提到的那群男生是一樣的．

後來我們就決定一起上前去問個清楚．
沒想到，幸運的 BL 就這樣找回了她的行李．
之後我們當然就是去找我們的旅店．
結果彎了幾條小巷都找不到，
只好去問警察叔叔，他很快的指應我們找到了旅店．

老實說那旅店套房還真不錯．
價格便宜，又只是在台北車站對面，
很方便．又有很多地方可以逛．
再來，地方還算乾淨．
起碼沒有小強到處閒晃．

雖然它只是一間小旅店，
可是還算安全，也沒有太多閒雜人等．
只是偶爾會有一些來開房的小情侶．
下次去台北我還會住回那間旅店．

這是我們住的套房模樣．

７月２０日 ~ 新加坡 to 台北

這天要從早上８點說起．
雖然我撘的是下午１點的班機，
可是我 ８點多就被老媽叫醒．
因為老爸可能９點多就來載我去機場．
老爸開的是計程車，所以我也不能讓他晚點到．
就這樣，我七早八早就心不甘情不願的起床了．

起床後就開始拿衣服，不知為什麼，
就把衣服放到Ah boy的身上．
就這樣，我突然靈機一動幫Ah boy穿上了衣服．


OK 我承認我是抄襲阿信的構思，
沒辦法我是五迷嘛．:P

Anyway老爸真的９點多就到了，
所以為了不要讓我一個人在機場等太久，
我讓老爸帶我去吃早餐．滿不錯的魚丸面．
結果我大概１１點多才到機場．
辦好了手續，等人到齊我們就上飛機了．

上了飛機後，我們的第一個「事件」就發生了．
先是空服員尋找一個叫 Rachel Lim 的乘客．
後來機長就說班機會延誤，
因為他們必須找一個乘客的行李，讓後拿下飛機．
原本我們還以為是這位乘客有什麼急事，所以必須下機．
後來才聽到機長說他們已經找到那名乘客，她正在登機．
原來是她忘了時間害整個飛機的乘客必須等她．

好不容易飛機開始起飛了．
我們都選擇咪一下來恢復體力，
可是沒用的我們睡不到一小時就起來了．
起來了沒事情作，就買了飛機餐來吃，
味道還不錯哦．


後來就花了新幣３元買了紙牌來打發時間．
果然有的玩，時間比較快過啦．
沒一下就到了台北中正機場．
因為我們是坐在最後第２排，
所以是最後幾個下機的．

到了去領行李的時候，多數的行李都被領走了．
我們看了好久，都不見ＢＬ的行李．
只看到還有一個不知是誰的行李還在那兒轉．
那行李和ＢＬ是同一個平牌，
我們就覺得不妙，可能是有人拉錯了行李．

我們就到後面的 lost and found 去報失．
手續辦完後我們就去撘「國光客運」往台北車站出發了！

這次的台北之旅發生了一些有趣的事，
希望能一一的紀錄在這裡．

這次因為天氣太熱了，
所以沒什麼心情拍照．
說過了，下次我不要在夏天去台北．
太熱太熱了！

Day 8: 13 Jan 2006

Finally reaching the last day of my trip.. din't expect myself to complete writing about the whole trip.. haahhahaa.... well on this day we are scheduled to return to singapore... i was like yeah!!! cos i think i was really sick and yearning to come back...

this day originally we plan to go to the Kowloon Walled City Park and later to Mongkok to buy the 老婆餅... but again it wasn't as plan... cos they wanna watch 倚天... so we left BL, SP and Sam to watch while Linda, QH and me went Fa Yuen Street to do some shopping... din't really get much there except for the Ah Dang white board... and linda after much deliberation bought a "commondo" bag.... and we reach the hotel at exactly 12pm...

very quickly we pack our remaining things inside, and went to book our hotel transfer and check out of the hotel... than we went over to 富城 resturant to have some dim sum... but poor me cannot eat!! cos i'm still feeling a bit sick and my throat was bad.... i just ate Char Siew Pao... which was not too bad...

after food we left to walk to Mongkok for the 老婆餅 and later to 奇華 for the egg rolls and pineapple tarts... and these is our "shopping" result




While i'm done with my shopping, Linda and QH have more things to buy.. Linda wanna buy tidbits and QH her chewing gum... so i told her we wait for them at Macdonald while they go shop... while we were sitting at Macdonald we sort of get "scolded" by the cleaning auntie.. cos at that point of time SP is still helping us buy our "food" and the auntie say if we are not eating we should not be sitting there.. we told her our friend is getting our food but she still throw us a look... so much for there service eh... imagine its from Macdonald somemore.. i know their place is packed lah but they could use a more polite manner... so just out to make the auntie angry i purposely eat very very slowly my steam corn... see wat can she do to me... hahahaa... me real bad...

anyway shortly we left the place to head back to hotel to pack our luggage with our new purchases and wait for the transfer to come.. though we are about 1 hour early... and here is the result after 8 days...



And so after tat is the uneventful journey to the AP and back to SG....

Find HK very very similar to SG.. in tat their shopping areas are malls much like SG unlike TPE...

And the pple there really walk at a super fast pace.. you tot singapore is "kong bu".. well its worst over there... i mean its already after work hours.. do they need to walk so fast??? and the worst thing is the pple there do not mind brushing against you just to walk pass you.. i don't like tat.. i think in sg we always keep ourselves in a safe distance.. nvr surpassing someone comfort zone... but its like totally different over there...

and the last thing i need to comment is the generally the pple there are a bit rude.. however, i must comment that their service line pple are pretty polite (except for the macdonald auntie).. which i think its something SG shld learn... quality and polite service is necessary for a service oriented country like SG... but i think we still have a long long way to go....

Day 7: 12 Jan 2006 電視噁心篇

Well.... this day we are suppose to be going to MACAU!!! Imagine the authentic portugese egg tart... yum yum yum.... BUT obviously I fell sick... so i decide that I don't want to go Macau but spend the day to shop at Fa Yuen Street with Linda... cos we haven't really do any serious shopping... however, in the end everybody also din't go.. cos all were tired and decide to make the day 睡到自然醒.

So tat day everybody woke up quite late, with the exception of Sam, BL and SP... who woke up at 8+ to watch 倚天屠龍記!!! hahahaaa... Sam is hooked to the show and wakes up at 8+ to watch it.... and is an agony when the show stops at the most exciting part... but the best is BL... she has watched the show more than 5 times liao and is watching it again... and better still she has the vcd of the show.... is 穌有朋 really that good??? but i must say the show was quite good lah... :P

so after the show which is 12pm... we waited for Sam, BL and SP to get ready and we move off to have brunch... as my throat wasn't feeling too good i suggested we eat Wantan noodle... so we saw a shop tat sells wantan noodle and went in to eat.. but it wasn't as good as the first day one.. but the vege they serve was not bad..

Than we move off to TST to visit the Avenue of Star


After the Avenue of Star, we decide to go hunt for the so call Espirit Warehouse... but we couldn't find it. Some say has close.. some say its behind the Hong Kong Bank.. some say its downstairs... in the end we gave up and decide to look for 糖潮 instead... along the way we saw HMV and went in to have a look... we saw a Hong Kong artiste there... think is a new Singer call Jolie... not famous in SG thou... it seems like everytime everyone go HK they are bound to see some artiste... Anyway at HMV I found a wild-day out VCD that consists of 糯米團，陳綺貞，阿嶽 and 伍佰... and better still its on the "SALE" section.. hahahaa... i almost raided watever they have left on the shelf... buying one copy for whoever i think will be interested...

Finally we found 糖潮 and went in to have some food... Sam ordered fried rice and was disappointed that the serving was so small... BL and SP ordered Mango something... BL complained that her Mango was sour.. but i tasted SP one its sweet and taste good.. poor BL... Linda had mixed fruit sago.... while me and QH had watermelon, aloe vera sago.... the pic is linda's mixed fruit sago.. cos her looks nicer than ours... we also ordered some Cha Siew Pao which is uper sweet....


After we left the place, we decide to go look for the big Tom Lee we saw on Day 1... and rounds and rounds we walk but we can't find it... but we found the Yu Dan store... and they had more of it while i can only stand to watch *pout*... after walking and walking we still can't find it and instead we found the Espirit Outlet.... so we went in to take a look... well the clothes there really are cheap but its quite 恐怖... really like the old factory outlet shop which they use to have in SG.... QH and Sam bought some clothes while the rest of us were empty handed...

soon we gave up finding Tom Lee and head back to Prince Edward to shop at Fa Yuen Street... but half way through i was really feeling not too well, so I left with BL and SP first to go back to the hotel... halfway SP went to buy smelly toufu while me and BL went up to hotel room... when i reach the hotel room... i puke everything out... by everything i mean from breakfast to 糖潮... how i noe? cos i actually puke out undigested noodle, vege and of course tasted water melon in the puke... *eeeeeeeek* (told you its 噁心篇)

After i puke i walk to open the connecting door between our room.. only to find BL sitting at her bed eating the smelly toufu i quickly close the door incase the smell comes in... than SP went down to help us buy dinner and got me plain porridge with peanuts.. by plain means it totally plain.. no meat, no condiments. just porridge with a sprinkle of a peanut... of course i din't finish it.. just ate a few mouthful so i can take my medicine... and went to sleep...

than Sam, Linda and QH came back.... with food that smells so nice... i think there is the KFC chicken wings and the fried octopus... arghhhhhh...... can't eat them... i woke up and tok to them and see their shopping results and went back to zzz....

Day 6: 11 Jan 2006 玩樂生病篇

The original itenary for the day is to go to Wong Tai Sin, APM than to Tsim Sha Tsui area for the muesums, avenue of stars, clock tower and shopping. But things din't turn out that way.

In the morning, only SP, BL, QH and Me went to Wong Tai Sin. Cos Linda is sick and we ask Sam to accompany her sister to see the doc and anyway he is a christian so won't be interested in visiting the temple with us.

So our first stop... Wong Tai Sin... Its actually quite a big place and full of people. I think because its also a "tourist area" thats why. Saw lots of tour groups around and we din't manage to find Gallan Lo there.. hahahaaa.....


Because of the huge smoke and some other reason, we din't really step into the main praying area... we just stand outside look see the buildings... and walk on further to find a 別苑. Its actually quite a nice place peaceful and quite... and the best thing, no joss sticks are allowed inside.. so we have some nice fresh air...


After Wong Tai Sin we move off to APM... heard from QH that it is one of their latest shopping mall that opens 24 hours. And APM means AM PM.... But when we reach there most of the stalls were closed... ermm... i really dun see where the AM PM comes from...

We went to the highest level and start walking down to see what are the shops opened... and QH is at the mean time trying to find the watch shop that sells their on special designed watches...

we saw this very interesting shop called 2% at a level... but it wasn't open yet... so we walk to the display unit and took photo of this very cute display dogs... I love them hopefully can find their handphone straps... especially that ji boo sai (a pile of shit) thing... its so kawaiii....


than turning a corner we found this... and couldn't help but...

SIT DOWN!!! hahahaa.... we were all too tired from the previous day....

Just beside the "chairs" was a 轉蛋 store... and yeah.. tats my 死穴.... spend a small sum of money there to try collect the series of pooh bear.. and in the end i'm still missing one of it... but still thanks to SP who willingly exchange with me and BL those that we don't have just to let us complete a set.. and the QH is just standing by the side waiting to buy from us any toy which she don't have... and oh one thing good about their 轉蛋 store is they supply a bin for you to throw all the 轉蛋 in for recycling.. I think SG shld have that man.. else everytime i go 轉蛋 i also dunno wat to do with the 蛋 after i got the toy....

I dunno at which level we also found a "snack" shop... basically it sells those japanese snacks like the "meiji" brand... and the "best" thing is they sell those toys with snack... and we saw naruto... and the "best best" thing is they will indicate on the box wat is the toy inside.. unlike those where you have to buy and try your luck... so we started our "happy" search for naruto himself. And the funny thing is QH was the one who started looking first and I gave her the piority to look through the box... and she say no "naruto"... so i went to look again trying to find the female lead (cos its a pressie for my BIL and my sis).... and i found a "naruto"... and QH was very angry... hahahaa... than the sales girl came and show us more stocks... and in the end i found more "naruto"... than them... :P so happily i paid for it.. only to realise later when i'm back at hotel that each box costs around SGD5... imagine my heart pain... hahahaa.. but its okie my BIL has always been very nice to me... and an episode later will make me all the more convince that it pays to be kind to him.. hahahaaa....

So after our "happy" search... the 2% shop was open and we went in to shop... they did have the HP strap for ji boo sai and the dog... you can even change the accessories whether you want the shit or the dog bone... but i din't buy it.. cos 1. its rather ex... 2. the ji boo sai is too big... so nope din't buy it.. kind of regretting now.. but its okie....

there is also a muji in the shopping mall... and i saw the "toilet speaker" which 小米 gave out during the xmas episode of 康永當家... its really neat and nice but too bad i don't own an ipod or zen... and the speaker itself is not cheap....

there is also a store that sells astroboy stuff!! imagine a whole store sell astroboy merchandise... Jean will flip... they have very nice astro sweaters, jackets, tees and bag.... but the price was much much more "nicer"... and the thing is on the board it says 70% discount... i tot thats a lot and would be rather cheap.. i was so tempted to get a bag or a jacket for Jean... than later the salesman walk over and told QH there is 7折.. which actually means its only 30% discount.. so we were walking and discussing whether its 30 or 70... if its 30 it would be too expensive for us... 70 will be just nice.... in the end we conclude that it has to be 30%.. how can they be giving such high discounts... so sorry Jean din't manage to get any of the merchandise for you....

soon we left the place and QH din't manage to find her watch shop and kena a scolding from me and BL because we went all they way there and she din't find wat she wants and cause us to spend so much money there... haahahaa... :P

back at the hotel we realise that Linda haven't went to the doc yet... so we waited for Linda to bathe and change than went down to ask the hotel pple where is the nearest clinic... they ask a lot of questions regarding who is sick and wat illness.. i think they are very afraid that we have bird flu... hahahaa... than the hotel person actually bring us all the way to the clinic.. but its closed for lunch break so we da bao some food back for them and went back to the hotel to wait...

not enuff rest plus the moving about makes me feel sick... so i started to feel unwell... but i still went with Linda to see the doc when the clinic reopened... linda even pursuade me to see the doc with her but i refuse.. hahahaa.. cos it wasn't really tat serious at that time... we waited for quite a while for linda's turn.. than when its finally our turn all 3 of us (linda, qh and me) went in.. and we realise his room was really small... so soon i told qh to go out cos the nurse have to come in... than when we were out linda start asking me whether the doc is handsome or not.. well... he is not too bad looking.. not very "shuai" but pleasant enuff... than 38 QH came over and say yeah yeah.. and "scold" me for asking her to come out so she cannot see the doc... i'm like 被她打敗....

after the doc we went back to the hotel.. i was feeling really not well so i say i will stay in the hotel for the day to rest... and i just sleep my day through.. but in the middle of the night (i dunno wat time cos i already sleep half the day already) i hear the sound of MAHJONG.... yeah you guess it.. the 4 crazy pple (SP, BL, QH and Linda) are playing mahjong with the small mahjong tile set that linda just bought... i really 敗給他們.....

Day 5: 10 Jan 2006 吃喝玩樂篇

Today itenary is Ocean Park and the Central Mid-Level escalator. So we woke up early as per usual and went to have our breakfast. Again its 茶餐廳. I had their so call "traditional" breakfast, which is Egg, Luncheon Meat, Pineapple Bun and Milk Tea. This is for the first time we found the serving not huge but just nice for pple like me... ahahahaa... Oh, after the not so nice experience of the Hot Milk Tea, I decide to drink it cold instead. But it was so sweet.. i tot only Thai's like sweet food, but its the same for HK.


Oh yeah got to mention, QH ate fish fillet for breakfast... its a rather huge serving.. but not to worry we are talking about QH leh... of course she can finish her food clean and even help linda with her food if i'm not wrong... and guess wat she still have stomach for egg tarts after tat.. but we "lor zao" lah... cos i also wanna eat....

After breakfast we move off to Ocean Park... when we reach, we quickly finish the egg tart so as not to burden ourselves with a box of thing... and took some 到此一游 photo at the entrance and proceed on to get our tix.


When Sam saw that there was Go Kart on the brochure, he and QH happily discuss about wanting to take it... and this got all of us excited and we all decide to take it and have also make arrangement on who is to drive who... in the end when we saw the "Go Kart" we were so disappointed.. it was really really small... at most 2 rounds and its not even 400 meters for one round.. so we decide to give up and go take the cable to the rides section instead. while on the way up, we saw this zebra bench and decide to take a "funny" photo.


When we reach the other side, we saw the "mini-boat" steering thing... so we decide to give it a try and of course I pick the number "5"... besides its the fire patrol boat... but its actually a bit faulty... the steering is not doing very well.. so i only manage to bump into them once... the rest of the time its making turns and dunno doing wat...


Afterwhich, Sam, Linda and Shir proceed to take the "scary" mine train... while BL, SP, QH and me stand at the viewing area to watch them and take photos.. hahahaa.... afterwhich we decide to split the group... The 3 of them will go take the rides while the 4 of us, who don't play rides, will just walk around the place visit the aquarium and take photos. And we will meet about 3 hours later to watch the show at the auditorium...

BUT shortly after, think less than an hour bah, Linda call me and told me they have finish playing all their rides... i was very very surprise.. cos my group of pple have just reach our first destination, which is the pacific pier showing the Seals. (Before that we were taking the stupid escalators up and up and buying some things at the shops). So we told them to meet us there. And they reach just in time to see the "feeding" show. And lucky us to get quite a good spot.. so we saw their main star "Terry"... but QH was not very happy, because the 帥哥 trainer was over at the other side which we can't see clearly... hahahaa....

After spending like an hour there, we move off to Shark aquarium... there, sharkie found her "ancestor"....


After the Shark aquarium, we move on to another aquarium which shows all the deep sea fishes... very much like SG underwater world.. but of course theirs is so much bigger.. there were a few floors which we will have to travel down to see the different fishes all leaving in the same tank but at different "levels".

After the fishes we decide to take the ferries wheel and than move on to watch the show and than leave to place with Shir as she is coming back to SG liao... but our plan was foil because of this group of pakistan guys...

we saw them playing at the game stalls... and they were really good... they were all holding alot of soft toys in their hands... and they are earning more... I saw them carrying the jumbo chicken (which i like and saw it at the other side of the ocean park... but din't manage to win...) so we just stand around and see them play... and i dunno wat happen.. later Linda just happily run to me with Ah Dang in her hand... and say the guys gave it to her when she jokingly ask them to give if they dun want... and these got all our interest so we went over to see...

than linda saw the Ah dang with 銅鑼燒 and she wants it... so we decide to help her play.. but of course we din't manage to win anything... After we finish we turn around and saw the pakistan guys just won a middle size chicken... BL noes I like it so she went over and ask if the guys can give it to her since they already have the big one.. and they just gave it to her.. hhahaaa... but greedy me find the Chicken too big.. i prefer the smaller version one... so i decide to try my luck on something else and see if i can get the smaller one.. of course I fail...

on the other hand... Linda saw her Ah Dang (broken) family... there was ji-an so she get the pakistan guys to help her play... and they really won it for her after a few times... and than Linda saw yi jing... hahaha.. yes you guess it she got them to help her play again.. but they din't manage to win it.. and i think they felt bad so they fork out their own money and play it for her.. and finally manage to win it for her.. so Linda now have an Ah Dang family at home.. she was very touched i can see...

Than before the pakistan guys leave, they gave the rest of their soft toys to us including the jumbo chicken.. actually before that we all each have some toys already... BL was holding to her 汪汪, QH one is a pencil and a dog key chain which Sam won for her, Shir got another dog, Linda is her Ah Dang family, SP is the Ah Dang and me is the middle size 雞仔 and a small frog which i name dang-oh. So when they gave us more we couldn't take it... so we decide to give the kids we saw... and SP frighten a small girl to tears with the big 雞仔... and i also gave my middle size 雞仔 to QH cos i dunno how to bring it back to SG and I hardly hug soft toy anymore... i just settle with my Dang-Oh will do... So this pic is me with the jumbo 雞仔 which i took a pic with before giving out...


Having do all that we miss our timing for the show... so we have to wait for the next one.. and shir have to rush down to go back to the AP... i felt so bad leaving her to return on her own.. When shir left we went to took the ferries wheel... and later grab some food to eat at the auditorium and wait for the show to start.... the phins phins were cute... and its like so interesting to be their trainer...

After the show we quickly rush down cos we want to visit the panda before it close.. but by the time we reach JiaJia already went into her pan... and AnAn also is very tired keep walking to the door to the pan.. but they refuse to open for him.. poor AnAn have to entertain us... :p

After the show we left Ocean Park as its closing and head for the Central Mid Level escalator in search of the Central Police Station.. no choice we are all TVB kids.. hahaha.... But when we reach we realise that the Police Station has moved.. the building is still there.. but its late already so there were no lights and we couldn't take any photos...

but along the way back we found an ah-ma selling 豆花 and alot of pple were sitting by the road side to eat it.. so it must be good.. hence we sat down to eat also.. and its really good.. just I don't like the ginger soup... so i only ate the 豆花. After tat its time to hunt for proper food.. as we din't really eat much the whole day... so we step into a 燒臘 store to have dinner... but it wasn't really tat good.


Afterwhich we leave central to head back our hotel... but QH wasn't tired.. she wants to walk Ladies Market again.. so we went with her... and we had Guilingao over there... it taste good.. there is no need to add honey and its sweet enuff... with a little bitter taste coming out after a while...


I think after tat we decide to head back to our hotel.. but we soon realise we are walking the wrong direction.. so we took the MTR back instead... hahahaa... we really very 路痴... without BL around we really jialet....

Day 4: 9 Jan 2006 吃喝玩樂篇

Its time to combine both the eating and playing section.. because i have gotten tired and took lesser fotos for these few days.. hahahahaa...

The day started with breakfast at 茶餐廳 again.. I think we had fried mee and 粥. But it doesn't taste good. The fried mee i mean... Its very dry and plain. And someone in our group say the waiter is looking very funnily at how we ate the fried mee. We had a conclusion that the mee is only meant to go together with the 粥... meaning to dip the mee into the 粥.. tats why its dry and plain... stupid us to eat it the SG way...

After breakfast we proceed to take the KCR to the Lam Tsuen Wishing Tree.


When we reach there, we were quite disappointed. As most of you know one of the branches of the tree has broken, so i tot the tree will still be there but just not allowed to throw anymore offerings up the tree. I was only half right. The tree is still there... but all the offerings has been taken down.. so its really very bare... instead near the trees are boards set up for pple to "hang" their offering.. very much like the japanese temple where they will hang the "wooden fu"...


Afterwhich, we continue to take the KCR down to Luo Hu on to Shen Zhen. Seriously I was quite impress by how Shen Zhen has developed. We took their Metro system (similar to MRT) to 老街 and shop at their 東門 (which is super like taipei 西門町).


The first thing we did when we reach 東門 was to settle our stomach. We found a Steamboat buffet and happily settle ourselves to eat it as its such a shiok thing to eat steamboat in cold weather. But the food sucks...


After food of course left with shopping... our gang spend quite sometime in the DVD shop buying china made DVD.. i also bought a set of Ranma 1/2 back... its the only version that has everything in full and is not too ex.. all other versions i saw in HK were incomplete... :( I also saw the set of 古惑仔 dvd.. very tempted to buy but i'm very afraid of the quality and whether it had been severly censored... so in the end i decide to give it a miss.. anyway QH bought it.. can always borrow from her.. hehehee....

while most of them spend until "pok" there.. i had little things to buy.. see i told you i'm not a shopping queen... a pair of shoes and a dvd is all i got for the day.. plus spend some money to eat their fresh made "老婆餅" and bbq octopus... the bbq octopus taste really really good.. regret only buying one stick.. shld have bought more...

and yeah talking about the pair of shoes its from a china made brand... heard from the sales that it started from a small brandless company to now having alot of chain in china and 2 branches in HK... and even got Jay Chow to 代言... but i must say the quality of the shoes really feel good... the sales lady keep emphasing that the soles are imported unlike other china brands which are made locally.. and this remind me of shir.. hahaha... i was wondering if they ordered from her company... actually the sales lady was really nice.. shld i say the only nice sales person i met in Shenzhen tat day... and she also tot we are students.. hahahaha.... too bad she wasn't around when we went back later to buy more shoes...


As for dinner for that day... I can't remember le... I only noe its back in HK.. cos we really dun trust the food over at Shenzhen and we were trying to rush back to see if we can make it to the Snoopy World.. but we can't.. nvm we will go next time i visit HK...

Day 3: 8 Jan 2006 玩樂篇

After breakfast we took the MTR to Central Ferry Terminal to take Ferry to Lantau Island. It was another cold day and its even colder over at Lantau Island. This is the ferry we took.


From there is another half-hour of bus ride up to the place to see the big buddha.. we were all so tired from the previous that we fell asleep on the bus. When we reached, we were all awed by how manificient the buddha is. This pic is taken from the foot of the 100+ flight of steps.


After taking some pics we started our journey up the 100+ flight of steps... and yeah we lack serious exercise.. we keep having to stop in between to catch our breath and to rest our legs... BL says even the Ah-Ma is better than us..... So to make ourselves not so paiseh, we pretend to take photos and looking at the scenary while catching our breath.


When we finally reach the top, the buddha was really magnificent. And the view of the temple down was also very very good.


For the night we spend our time shopping around 女人街 and 廟街. Sam was very angry cos he kenna con at 女人街. There he learn his lesson to see first and walk the whole street before buying anything. And we bought our Naurto at a cheaper price and better looking than his. The lady boss was very funny. We keep trying to 殺價, she ask us whether we are students. So we say yes. Than she say okie lah since student she charge us cheaper. So it was HKD115. Than I still try to push down lower to HKD110. Cos in cantonese 110 (Yat Yat Leng) sounds the same as everything is pretty. And she was agreeable after awhile. And ask us to go back to her store again. And of course we say yes we would.. but i nvr got a chance to go back during this trip again. Maybe next time i will visit her again. She is a nice lady. For the first time in my life 殺價 is so fun and satisfying. Hahahaa....

Day 3: 8 Jan 2006 吃喝篇

Today breakfast is at another 茶餐廳 again... but their portion was really scary... for their set breakfast we had Bee Hoon with Ham, Egg with Luncheon Meat and Toast set. Take note this is only 1 set... not 2... but the Toast is quite nice and so is the luncheon meat.. but can taste quite salty after sometime... I shared the set with Linda cos i really can't finish it alone.. and QH keep eyeing on our egg yolk cos both linda and me don't eat it... but for her own good we refuse to give it to her... :P


For lunch we were at Lantau Island.. so there was actually some "free" vegetarian fried mee, 豆花 and snacks to eat. The fried mee was good and so is the 豆花. But I still think taipei one is better.. but HK one is in everyway better than SG's.

For dinner we ate at a 茶餐廳 in Ladies Market. We had 豬扒飯 and fried Golden Mushroom with meat.. taste good.. Shortly after, I had a cotton candy.


Later in the night we had some steam milk egg for supper... this store is the traditional kindz.. so they only serve the norm plain 雙皮乃. I think the SG store i ate near my office taste better, but its so much cheaper there. That bowl is about SGD3. But in SG that bowl will easily cost me SGD4.5.

Day 2: 7 Jan 2006 玩樂篇

We are suppose to wake up early this morning to watch the flag raising but we decide to give it a miss because we slept late the night before... So we took the MTR to Wan Chai after our breakfast...


It was today where the temperature drop to 8 degrees celeius... and we were freezing like hell when we walk across the footbridge to the Golden Bauhinia.. When we finally reach there, there was some sunshine which we all try to stay under... so unlike in SG... Look at the pic, do i look like i lifted the Golden Bauhinia?


Beside the Bauhinia Sqaure is the Exhibition Center... which we call Gen X cop.. cos its the last scene where it exploded and Jackie Chan came by in a fishing boat...


After tat we walk to Causeway Bay.. on the way we say the legendary 英皇集團 building. And did some shopping around Causeway Bay. In between we went for our second round of Xu Liu Shan... hahahaa....


We also stumble onto a Tom Lee in Causeway Bay... Finally I had a chance to try on an electronic drum... the effects were not so good. it sounds hollow... sighz.. this means i have to give up the tot of buying an electronic drumset.. but where do i have money to sound proof my room for a traditional set?

After Causeway Bay we took the MTR to Central so we can take the open top bus to the mid-way of the Peak... when we reach there, I needed to go the washroom.. from there we started our washroom hunting.. to my horror, their mall actually don't have a toilet.. and being a CBD area i can't even spot a fast food place around... and finally we found it at the ICAC building... and by than my bladder almost burst...


After releasing our bladder we went to take the open top bus and change the tram up to the Peak. We must be crazy to go up on such a chilly night... most of us were frozen to death but the night view was good...

After we came down we walk to Lam Kwai Fong to have a look at their pub culture...

Day 2: 7 Jan 2006 吃喝篇

We start off the day with some nice 粥 and 腸粉. Mine is 魚片瘦肉粥, which was good... their 粥 is really very thick and nice... but i dun really like the 腸粉... cos the skin is too thick...


I had 豬扒公仔面 with Milk Tea for lunch... Finally know wat is 公仔面. Its actually Nissin Noodles. This 茶餐廳 is near Tai Yuen Street.


I ate an egg tart while trying to find Causeway Bay... but this egg tart wasn't as good as day 1... QH bought a pineapple bun at Causeway Bay itself... and it sucks...


Than was our 2nd round of Xu Liu Shan for the trip... thanks to Chris who message us saying she miss the Aleo Vera Water Melon.... we had just tat right after her message... hahahaaa.....


During dinner time we were at The Peak... so we have to settle with Mac as its the cheapest thing around... I had the "lobster" soup and my favourite twister fries!!! When will twister fries be back in sg.... *droolz*

Day 1: 6 Jan 2006 玩樂篇

It was super cold when we arrive at Hong Kong... and we start questioning who was the one that told us Hong Kong wasn't tat cold... we were shivering from head to toe... and some even try to see if there is 煙 coming out from our mouth...


After we check in to hotel and have our lunch we move on to 洗衣街 near Mongkok to look for the place for BL to make her visa to Shen Zhen... and its while finding the place we stumble onto the 茶餐廳 tat serves the best egg tart we ate for the whole trip... the crust is so crispy and the egg custard is so soft.... *droolz*

Afterwhich we move on to Sham Shui Po for some shopping and to visit the famous Apliu Street... watch too much TVB drama.. no choice...


Without nothing much to buy we went on to Tsim Sha Tsui. BL was feeling sick so she went back hotel first... She gave us all a scare when we tried calling and calling her but there was no reply. In the end i have to call the hotel to be transferred to her room... and she was safely sleeping in her bed... and guess wat the first store we step in TST was Giodano... And we spend a good 1 hour there to buy stuff to keep ourselves warm for the next few days to come...

Next to come is to hunt for HRC... and along the way we found the yu dan store... and xu liu shan


After HRC we saw signs to Tom Lee.. so we started our Tom Lee hunt.... BUT by the time we found it.. its close... Sam was very very sad... but tat Tom Lee was really really big... think its the biggest Tom Lee we saw in Hong Kong.


Tat marks the end of our Day 1 in Hong Kong.. the day where we ate most of the best food for the whole trip....

Day 1: 6 Jan 2006 吃喝篇

I dunno if i will be able to completely blog for all my 8 days in hong kong... but i will give it a try...

We ate our breakfast at Changi T2 BK... long time since I last ate BK breakfast.. it was yum yum and QH is even better.. she pian one extra packet of harsh brown back...

For lunch we had Wantan Noodle / Shui Kao Noodle / Yu Dan Noodle.... Its the best noodle i ate for the the whole trip.. and its just opposite our hotel.. too bad we din't have chance to go back there again.

Our evening snacks was Honey Chicken Wings and Milk Tea from KFC... and guess wat its the best Milk Tea I have drunk for the whole trip.. and the chicken wings were fantastic too....

Shortly after tat was Yu Dan (fishball)... Nice nice yu dan... and we stumble onto the legendary Xu Liu Shan!!! and we had our Mango Feast!!! Muahahahahaaa.........

For dinner we lor zou more KFC wings, yu dan and fried octopus... Yum yum yum
