ABC Concert 2

Finally after waiting for sooooooo long, the day have finally arrive... The ABC Concert....

The concert started with Chen Sheng and his band (Hen Qing Ge)... he is really comical... always doing funny stunt on the stage.. but you can really see his experience on stage... its just a pity that i don't noe his songs well... but still its great to hear my fav "Ba Bei Shang Liu Gei Zi Ji"... and of course "One Night In Beijing" with Ah Von is the power among the power... Ah Von vocal is really good.. and btw in case those who are there and didn't noe, the original peking voice did not came from Ah Von.. it was really sang by a lady peking opera person.... so don't mistaken... Ah Von just did a very good mimick of it... and considering that he is male he really did a very good job.. really impress me....

Following that is Ping Guan performance... he sang quite a lot of old songs but again i wasn't really familar with his songs except those during "Wu Yin Liang Ping" period... and a few of his main theme songs... can only say his performance is "zhong gui zhong ju" but again he sings love songs there isn't much he can do also...

and finally after all the waiting mayday is on stage.... the performance was lifted wholesale from FFH... the arrangement, the sequence etc... but i was really surprise and touched when they sang "John Lennon"... and its the 2nd song!!!! At first I tot i remember wrongly, and couldn't believe my ears when i first heard the prelude... until they start singing... that is the best birthday present from them le.... its been a long long time since i last heard the song... and this is only the 3rd time i hearing it live... and only the 2nd time that i remember hearing it live... cos i can't really recall how it was like during the 1st time... but again Ashin got the lyrics wrong again.. :( but still shld be contented that they sang it.... if they sang "ci xiong tong ti" also well be best amoung the best...

The crowd was really good that day too... most pple were standing... even those in the "seating" area and at the back.. and when md prompt them to shout, can really hear their response... think singapore audience are really improving... but again i felt it was a bit too much to have both "lian ai-ing" and "ka cia"... too much "dai dong qi fen" things le... since its just a short 1 hour performance i tot maybe one if it will do.. and of course i prefer "ka cia" lah... although its a really really old "geng" le.... and i think its killing yanming by the end of "ka cia"... as i see that his face is quite red when it comes to the ending of that part.... and a sign of relief flush over him when it finally ended... :P

Another thing is that shijie is hiding behind the black box! Always enjoy looking at him during concert to bring some "xiao liao"... but this time he was hiding behind the boxes most of the time... but still manage to catch his comical "L-O-V-E" and the dunno-what-he-is-doing hand waving actions... and the look on his face when he quickly rush to get a can of beer for yanming... hahahha...

all in all the concert was good... the crowd was good... just if the thing could last longer... and just if ashin can put aside his "prince" image and show us cream on his face.... just masa can smile a bit more and get crazy a bit more... just i could see more sparks from within md.... then it would be perfect... but again this is not a perfect world.. so there won't be perfect concert too.....
