Just now Ah Jo was at my desk and we were discussing about the fixing of the door. She was commenting that she was quite smart that she is able to fix the door all by herself. Which i sort of agree cos i'm an idiot when it comes to things like this... then the following conversation follows:
Ah Jo: I'm so smart.
Colleague: If you are really so smart, then you should change the bulb yourself.
Me: She is not tall enough mah, besides, it should be the job of you guys.
Colleague: If she is smart she will find a taller ladder to change mah.
Ah Jo (to colleague): Please don't disgrace yourself by continuing to argue with me regarding this matter.
*Ah Jo walks out of the room*
Colleague (to Me): If you all want to differentiate between girls and guys, then next time you all boil the water lor...
Me: *laugh in disbelief and can't even be bothered to argue with him*
Fact No 1:
Most of the time the water is boiled by either Ah Jo or Me.. yes i know he does boil the water.. but in terms of the number of times doing it.. i'm sure we do it much much more than him.
Fact No 2:
Okie maybe boiling water is a woman job. So is washing the toilet bowl? So if i'm helping the whole company wash toilet bowl does it mean i'm doing my job.. so watever that is classified as a man job he will be doing it? but apparently it doesn't seem so... i still carry heavy things myself...
Fact No 3:
Ah Jo is always the one who is topping up the stuffs in the office.. like toilet paper, coffee, etc... And even the lightbulb she has to go buy it herself.. isn't it part of a man's job also? so doesn't she have every right to ask a guy to a guy job?
Fact No 4:
I believe if Ah Jo is not constraint by height, she would fix up the bulb herself...
Fact No 5:
Generally, woman is just not as good as man in physics and doesn't have enough strength to do things like these.. hence they will take a longer time to fix things up... so if a man is more efficient, why can't they do it?
that say so much about my colleague.... someone use to tell me his a SNAG... erm... i really can't see how...

actually i din't write that out in a spite of anger... i'm more amuse by his reaction then being angry...
Frankly speaking there is no gentleman in S'pore... so sad to hear that... what to do, bear with it lor.
If not don't bother about them and get them to get the stuff if they need it... nxt time bring ur own toilet paper to work... hahaha

wat she say is half true... the correct statement is there is no true gentleman in the real world... just like there is no perfect human being.... u can say the same for woman... :) these pple only exists in reel world..
