Actually I felt rather 硬, as in, I feel very robotic. There is no ease in my movement. I din't expect it to be tat difficult. Just on the holding of the drumstick (no, not chicken drumstick, i can hold a chicken drumstick properly... but 鼓棒) I took sometime to get the correct pose. And as i play the holding is wrong again... its really not simple. After holding, is the alternate hitting. And i tend to use to much wrist and lazy to move my hands... besides i have a hard time trying to control the drumstick back to the position it shld be... anyway one word to say.. its tough... but i'm not giving yet.. its afterall a dream from young...
As for my instructor, find him a bit loh soh... keeps emphasising the need to practice.. and tell me a long story to convince me, which in the first place i'm already convinced. I'm no longer a kid, i do noe practice make perfect and that you have to get your basic right inorder to do well... Apart from his loh soh-ness, he was quite okie... oh yah, he was nice enough to tell me i can continue to practice in the room as it should be free until they chase me out... hahaha... so i sat there practising alternate hitting... i think i did a total of about 600 hits (which goes to about 300 hits per hand... i noe its not a lot.. but its a lot for me liao)... wanted to continue but my back starts to hurt and i need to meet nic... so i left..
I'm looking forward for my next lesson liao... in the meantime have to go practice my fingers.. particularly my retarded left hand... oh btw, i realise i don't noe the name of my instructor after my first lesson... ermm... is this normal??

btw, he ask you to bring ear plug the next time you come for lesson.. must be i hit so hard on the drum tat he buay tahan liao.. :P
yeah i saw him before at orchard itself...
like you say i don't have rich parents who can let me learn tat when i'm young you noe.. besides during my time piano is the "in" thing.. not drum.. so anyhow my parents won't send me for drum lessons de... so not my fault *bleh*

you can get the ear plugs from pharmacies.. like guardian ;)
