Been back from my trip for a few days liao... but got no time to blog.. so now, shall take the opportunity to blog it down...
That day I work half day... yes... mama, DD and BL did not work... but i have to work half day... i pretty much no mood, but yet accomplish quite a fair bit of things tat day... so i don't have to worry much about work during the whole trip.... my dad came to pick me up from my work place and send me to airport.. but he was early... so my sis, BL and me ended up at the airport at about 3+, where actually we meeting DD and mama at 4pm... my impatient sis keep asking me to call them to hurry up.. which i think its pointless... (so don't blame me okie.. its my sis)...
anyway after DD and mama arrive, we went to check in.. as this is the first time we took budget airline, we were quite put off to see that the air tix is actually thermal printed receipts... which means we can't keep for souvenier.... anyway afterwhich we went BK to eat dinner and went shopping in the DFS zone... and start to make our way for boarding... budget airlines are budget airlines.. the boarding place is super far in... we walk a long long way.. and the most coincidental thing is that one of my sec friends is actually taking the same plane to bkk and just staying at the next hotel... hmm... sg is small... and even the place sg-ians go is sama.. hahhaa...
when we arrive, we went to take a cab to our hotel.. cos we don't have airport trf... initially the cabby want to charge us 300baht for the trip.. but my cousin manage to slash the price to 200 baht incl of airport charges... (but actually we shld have taken from the departure hall, then we no need to pay the airport charge.. nvm.. i will know this next time)... as for dd, mama and bl.. they took another cab, but the sotong cabby took them to a real palace instead of our bkk palace hotel... must be mama look too much like a princess.. hahahahaaa...
after we check in and wash up... we start out for patpong... we took a cab there... and again dd, mama and bl cab arrive much later then ours... so we had a conclusion that they are a bit suay.. we need to change combi when we take cabs... so we split into 2s and start walking patpong.. i saw a very nice wooden miniture drumset display, but the stall owner must be thinking i look like raddish.. quoted me 850 Baht for it... of course we refuse to buy.. there were some nice wooden miniture guitar display also.. but were also too ex... we think it should be available else where so we gave the drums and guitars a miss...
after walking the whole of patpong, i came back to the starting point empty handed... there was nothing for me to buy.. (at least BL bought some the salt and pepper set for her boss..) we realise we were 1 hr early.. so we decide to find a cafe to sit and have a drink.. we went to starbucks and saw tat it closes at 1am.. then it was already 12:30am... so we went on to the next cafe again.. also closing about the same time.. and finally we found one that doesn't seems to be closing.. i ordered melon milk shake.... its one of the nicest melon milk shake i have ever drink.. i 'm sure they put in sugar syrup.. but the blended ice and the melon together.. it taste good... u can actually taste the rock melon... its really really nice... BL ordered banana milk shake.. which she says is very good too.. i din't taste hers cos i don't have a liking for bananas... as we sit and chat.. we start to realise that actually now is only 11:30pm bangkok time.. so actually the starbucks still have another 1.5 hours before it close.. we were tat blur... and we really regretted.. cos the starbucks look really good.. its outside design is very "thai".. so we were very curious how the inside will look like... but heng heng the drinks in our cafe taste good.. else i think we will really be very very "tui"....
so when it comes to meeting time, we left the cafe and head to meet the rest... after a while, we manage to see mama and dd... but my sis and cousin were lost.. we waited like for another 1/2 hour before they appear.. BL was already tired until i think she will knock out any moment... so we quickly make our way back.. and it chose to start raining at this time... we decide to change our formation of taking taxi.. this time DD took the cab with my sis and cousin... i took the other cab with mama and BL... and still we arrive late.. so conclusion? either mama or BL is very suay... kekekee....
tat day i only went to bed at about 4am sg time... and throughout the nite i kept being woken up by my sis.. we keep going to the toilet as she is having diarrea... so tat ends my tired and sleepless day 1 in BKK....
