Sandee Chan

Okie, by now most of you would have noe of my obession about Sandee Chan... and I'm proud to say tat my obession with her was way way before this year taiwan golden melody awards... so its not because she won tats why i like her... =D

I think the first song that really attracted me to her was 茫然. I remember seeing the MV of this song almost everyday last time.. tat is how i get to first noe her... (btw, i'm looking for the MV of this song.. GF can u help me? thanks.. :D) I din't really remember the year until I went to her Official Website today.... it was in 1994... so i have been enjoying her song for 11 years liao.. of course inbetween i lost touch of her...

The main reason why i like 茫然 was because of the way she sings it... you cannot exactly classify as soothing but it just capture me... maybe like she herself say.. sometime there is no reason why you like a song.. u just like it... i think i just like the way she sings...

however, inbetween i lost touch of her songs.. cos they are no longer advertise on sg radio.. and being a poor student.. i don't have money to buy up her CDs... so when i finally have the buying power its already in 1999... I remember when i saw one of her "jing xuan" (at i think was gramaphone) i was so ove joyed... i bought it without second tots... and till date its still one of the CDs i like best...

last year when i saw on the web that she is releasing material-girls i immediately rush to HMV to buy it... a remember paying quite a fair bit for it.. and i was glad to see that HMV is actually selling a bundle of her first 4 CDs... and i bought it also... and again the price wasn't cheap.. and far more worst.. there are cracks on the CD casing... but still for Sandee everything was worth it... but i think i still have a few CDs missing from my collection.. which i need to slowly slowly find it and make my collection complete... sighz.. *see $ flying away*

actually Sandee is very talented... she writes both lyrics and melodies... she is also a very good producer... did you noe the song 煩 by shino was written by her? and she also particpated in the production and background singing of 雌雄同體 by MD in 時光機?? and despite her talents, she refuse to join the commercialize market but just continue doing music she enjoys?

「IS計畫」的緣起，可以回溯到兩年前陳珊妮和我的一場閒聊。在華語唱片工業一路崩潰、音樂內容愈來愈不被尊重的時節，我們提起一些心目中頂尖音樂人的名字，非常希望能聽到他們「撒開來寫」的作品。聊著聊著，漸漸就有了「邀請大家寫歌，一起做個合輯」的想法。
我們的初衷很簡單：能不能讓創作人拋開主流唱片公司企畫方向和市場因素的壓力，盡情做出自己最最想做的音樂？能不能拋開華而不實的企宣套式，讓一切回歸音樂本質，讓作品自己說話？
She actually make this project possible (of course with the help of others) and the whole production process it cost zero cents... the only cost of the CD is the CD and printing itself... (btw, natural q's natural q is recorded in this IS-project1... no wonder i find it so familar when i first heard about the song and about them)...
